Gambling Destination
Today, just about everywhere you look around the country, it seems that casinos dot the landscape. Even though many people still see Las Vegas as the ultimate casino playground, other places in the United States have taken up the pace. From Maryland to New York and from Chicago to Cleveland, casino gambling is quickly becoming a multi-million dollar business.
Unfortunately for those residents of the United States who still lives without the promise of easy gambling, the international demand for such games means that many of the currently operating casinos will soon be facing bankruptcy or liquidation. In the last few years, Atlantic City has seen a sharp increase in casino gambling before the local tax revenues were redirected to providing basic city services. Meanwhile, on the east coast, casinos in Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania have faced some serious challenges. On the west coast, Las Vegas has emerged as the undisputed leader in casino gambling, but even there, new casinos and remodeling proposals are being introduced all of the time.
When looking at casino gambling around the United States you will find that some of the most popular locations have remained consistent over the years. These include such cities as Las Vegas, New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and Macao. While many cities have changed their main article to avoid attracting negative publicity, these four still have full casino gambling sections. In addition, all the major casino gambling resorts are located in these four states.
As Atlantic City and Las Vegas continue to lose business, other gambling destinations are undergoing dramatic growth. The rapidly growing Las Vegas Strip, for example, has made the outlook for land-based casinos very positive, even with the current financial problems of the local casinos. While Las Vegas also offers a great variety of entertainment attractions, including shows by famous entertainers, its main attraction, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, attracts millions of tourists every year. The number of hotel rooms at the Las Vegas Strip is simply too large for all of the hotels to be listed here. In the northeast corner of the country you will find the small town of Connecticut, home to two of the nation’s smallest gambling resorts, Black Horse Poker and Gamblers Paradise Casino. The small population of nearly nine thousand people does not provide a base for the high volume of gambling that occurs here. Black Horse Poker is one of the few remaining old stand casino gambling resorts in the northeastern United States, while the other two casinos (including the new one that just opened in New London, Connecticut) have seen dramatic expansions over the past few years. Both Black Horse Poker and the new casino in Connecticut are members of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection (PAPS) organization, which is a group dedicated to making sure that the states surrounding New London, Connecticut in general, have strong anti-gambling laws in place.
One of the largest cities in New England, Boston, has long prided itself on offering residents a great selection of casino gambling events. A trip to this glorious city will give you the chance to experience the “Hambury Square” where the rich and famous go to enjoy dinner and music. While in Boston, don’t forget to visit the numerous comedy clubs that are located on the Boston Common. In addition to gaming, the comedy clubs feature some of the best restaurants in the area as well as some of the finest lodging accommodations. There are many hotels located throughout the city, as well as bus tours that can take you around the historic neighborhoods that make up the “granite walls”.
