Mr. CreepyPasta meets Mr. Toothy!

21 November, XLIX A.S. (2014)

Good afternoon everybody! Hope you’re enjoying the lovely winter weather!

I wanted to share with you a recent video by one of my favorite Youtubers, Mr. CreepyPasta. For those who don’t know, Mr. CreepyPasta is a great storyteller: he has high production values, a perfect voice, and tells a wide variety of twisted tales. Some of the stories are written by him, some by other authors. Most of them, as his name implies, are creepy pastas, AKA stories which are copy+pasted around Internet forums and wikis. Some of the most famous ones, such as Slenderman, have grown into media far beyond just written stories. It’s definitely an interesting trend in Horror fiction, as many of the stories, often written by essentially anonymous authors, tap into hidden fears over parts of contemporary digital culture such as video games and the Internet.

A few of my favorite creepypastas, (some of which this fine gentleman has video tellings of,) include:

  • Mr. Widemouth
  • The Russian Sleep Experiment
  • Abandoned by Disney (and it’s prequel and sequel)
  • Ben Drowned (Majora’s Mask creepypasta)
  • Pokemon Creepy Black
  • Candle Cove
  • Playing Hide and Seek Alone (really an urban legend from Japan. ESPECIALLY scary to listen to alone at night.)

Last week, Mr. CreepyPasta uploaded his chilling performance of my story, Mr. Toothy, which is about an urban-legendary clown-in-the-mirror:

Mr. Toothy and other stories are included in my book Right Behind Youwhich is only $2.99 for Kindle, and $5.99 in paperback!

Anyway, please check out Mr. CreepyPasta’s other videos, he does a damn good job at scaring me!
